Sarajevo Film Festival and Coca-Cola in Bosnia and Herzegovina are marking 30 years of continuous partnership - one of the longest-standing collaborations within the Festival. The new four-year contract confirms the continuation of a joint journey that has lasted for three decades, during which these two organizations have jointly built and developed values that go beyond business partnership.
Over the past three decades, the Sarajevo Film Festival and Coca-Cola have not only collaborated, but have grown together, supported each other, and contributed to creating a sense of community, positive change, and development in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Joint projects, encounters and initiatives during the Festival shaped numerous unforgettable moments – the fusion of film, entertainment and business resulted in ideas and experiences significant not only for the Festival audience, but also for Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider region.
„Thirty years of partnership with Coca-Cola speaks of the strength of continuity and mutual trust. Through all these years, we have contributed together to the development of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina as a place of meeting, creativity and openness. It is especially important that today we also share a common responsibility towards society through projects aimed at sustainability, as well as the continuous improvement of the Festival experience“, said Jovan Marjanović, Director of Sarajevo Film Festival.
”Coca-Cola launched its products distribution in BiH in 1969, and the bottling plant began operations in 1975. Today, we employ more than 300 people in Bosnia and Herzegovina and we are proud to point out that more than 80% of the total drinks sold is produced locally. In more than half a century of business, we have been a proud sponsor of the Sarajevo Film Festival for three decades. We share strong local roots and international recognition with the Festival, which is why continuing cooperation is a completely natural step. With this new contract, we confirm our long-term commitment to the development of the Festival, but also our continued contribution to strengthening the local community through stable and sustainable partnerships”, stated Amela Čengić, Director of Marketing and Commercial Excellence at Coca-Cola HBC Adria.
During the Festival, one of Coca-Cola's key activities in cooperation with the Sarajevo Film Festival is the project "Recycle me. Give me a new life." which promotes and practices responsible environmental practices in preservation and protection of the environment.
”Coca‑Cola is proud to have been part of the Sarajevo Film Festival almost since its beginnings — from a bold local initiative formed in challenging times to the most prestigious film festival in Southeast Europe, with strong international recognition. Over the past 30 years, our partnership has grown alongside the Festival, rooted in a shared belief in the power of creativity, community, and human connection. From the very beginning, our role has gone beyond sponsorship. We see Coca-Cola as a long-term partner supporting local ideas on their path to global relevance, with the Sarajevo Film Festival as a strong example of that vision. This partnership also reflects Coca‑Cola's deep roots in Bosnia and Herzegovina. For 57 years, we have supported culture, youth, sustainability and economic development. Renewing our partnership is a commitment to continue nurturing the Festival, the local community and the country's creative potential," said Daniel Hrupek, Marketing Director of Coca-Cola Adria.
The 32nd Sarajevo Film Festival will be held from August 14 to 21, 2026.
