Coca-Cola HBC B-H Sarajevo and Women’s Handball Club Hadžići have officially launched their cooperation by signing a sponsorship agreement under which the company, through its Olimpija brand, will support one of the most successful women’s handball clubs in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This year, ŽRK Hadžići is celebrating its 60th anniversary and enters the new season as the reigning senior champions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the club’s cadet team won a bronze medal at the most recent national championship. With three senior national championship titles, six BiH Cups and a Super Cup to its name, the club also has a long tradition of developing young players, with numerous national team players having come through its ranks over the past six decades. This autumn, ŽRK Hadžići will once again compete at the European level.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Coca-Cola HBC B-H by Ivan Pušić, Sales Director at Coca-Cola HBC B-H, and Jasmina Zulović, Marketing Manager at Coca-Cola HBC B-H, while Muhamed Čović, President of ŽRK Hadžići, signed on behalf of the club.
“We are delighted that today, right here in Hadžići, where we have been operating and producing Coca-Cola, Olimpija and our other products for 57 years, we are laying the foundations for this partnership with ŽRK Hadžići. We recognized in the club’s work and achievements an organization that has demonstrated for six decades just how much sport can mean to a community. Coca-Cola HBC strives to be an active partner to the communities in which we operate, and we are particularly pleased when, through partnerships, we can support young people, sport and those whose work creates opportunities for others,” said Ivan Pušić, sales director at Coca-Cole HBC B-H.
For many years, the club has been developing its youth teams and providing girls from Hadžići and surrounding communities with the opportunity to train, develop their sporting skills and grow up embracing the values that sport represents – teamwork, discipline, perseverance and mutual trust.
“For our club, this partnership represents recognition of what we have built over the past 60 years, but even more importantly, it is an investment in what we still want to build. New generations of girls are coming up behind our senior team, and it is our responsibility to provide them with quality conditions for training, development and progress. The support of a company such as Coca-Cola HBC gives us additional confidence that we can continue developing both top-level and youth handball and inspire even more girls to become part of our club,” said Muhamed Čović, President of ŽRK Hadžići.
“Olimpija natural mineral water is a brand that we naturally associate with an active lifestyle, movement and hydration, which makes this partnership particularly meaningful to us. What makes it even more important is the fact that the outstanding results of ŽRK Hadžići have been built by generations of women and girls. We want today’s champions to be visible as role models for girls who are just entering sport and to show them how far they can go with talent, hard work and the support of their community,” saidJasmina Zulović, marketing manager Coca-Cole HBC B-H.
The support for ŽRK Hadžići is part of Coca-Cola HBC B-H’s broader commitment to contributing to the communities in which it operates through cooperation with organizations, institutions and local initiatives. A particular focus within these activities is placed on initiatives and programmes aimed at young people, developing their potential and encouraging active and fulfilling lives within their local communities.
