By the end of September 500 young participants will have taken part in the programme
Sarajevo, 26 March 2018 – With this year’s first workshop for more than 50 youth in Sarajevo, the second phase of the Coca‑Cola Youth Empowered Programme in BiH started today in Sarajevo. The programme is realised by Coca‑Cola HBC B-H Sarajevo as part of its youth development support projects, with the support of partner organisations and institutions in ten cities and municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Coca‑Cola Youth Empowered in BIH project this year once again offers its participants the opportunity to develop their personal and business skills and to acquire high-quality and practical competences necessary for the modern labour market. Under the mottoDiscover, Develop, Succeed, the programme has been designed to identify, develop, empower and motivate its participants to succeed, making them more competitive on the market.
''Considering the exceptional results of last year's programme, which had 200 participants, and the huge interest for this year, at least 500 participants from ten BiH cities will go through the programme by the end of September. We wish to reach youth in as many cities in BiH as possible and provide them the opportunity to advance their business and life skills. Applications are still open for the remaining nine cities, while today in Sarajevo we begin the first three-day training with the desire to contribute to resolving one of the most pressing social issues of today – the country’s high youth unemployment rate, by helping young people find jobs in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Coca‑Cola HBC B-H Sarajevo is focused on providing support to the local community. We have continuously participated in providing solutions to the most important issues faced by local communities, remaining an active participant in everyday events and a factor in the economic development of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian society. It pleases us greatly that these young people, for whom the project was designed, have recognized our intention to support and prepare them for the beginning of their careers. We are happy to have them present here with us today, ready to improve their existing knowledge and to acquire new knowledge and skills necessary for their future and career'', said Darko Šaravanja, the Coca‑Cola Sales Manager for Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also announced the programme's workshops in Banja Luka, Mostar, Livno, Tuzla, Bihać, Brčko, Trebinje, Istočno Sarajevo and Zenica.
As a socially responsible company that has been operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina for over 40 years, Coca‑Cola continuously contributes to the development of the Bosnian-Herzegovina society by providing support to youth development and empowerment as one of its priority engagements in the community.
