Coca‑Cola celebrates its 125th anniversary thanking people all over the world and looks towards the future with joy.

On May 8, Coca‑Cola will mark 125 years of spreading joy since its appearance in Atlanta in 1886, and on this occasion it would like to thank all those who made it possible for Coca‑Cola to refresh the world over this time period. The company wants to send out this message via numerous unique cultural events and exclusive partnerships all over the world and throughout the year. Coca‑Cola’s central birthday celebration will be held on May 7 in its birthplace Atlanta.

A concert in Atlanta, which will gather musicians from all over the world, including from Somalia, New Zealand, Great Britain and the United States, as well as Kelly Clarkson, K'NAAN, Natasha Bedingfield and Ne-Yo, will be a special surprise for all music fans. People all over the world will be able to enjoy this concert through a live broadcast on the special website www.Coca‑ and via news and announcements on social networking sites such as YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

“We surely wouldn’t be able to celebrate this anniversary if it hadn’t been for those who truly love our brands. Everyone who enjoyed our beverages over the past 125 years made it possible for us to refresh the world", said Muhtar Kent, the chief executive officer of Coca‑Cola, and added: “We will celebrate the anniversary throughout the entire year, expressing our extensive gratitude to our employees, customers, partners and all those who love Coca‑Cola”.

The celebration of Coca‑Cola’s 125th birthday in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where Coca‑Cola has been produced for as long as 36 years, will be marked through a range of activities.

Although in a celebratory mood, Coca‑Cola is dedicatedly following its vision until 2020, which includes a plan to double the revenues realised so far over the coming ten years, as well as even stronger commitment to sustainable business operations. On this occasion, Muhtar Kent pointed out that “Coca‑Cola has both the privilege and obligation to be a responsible partner to the local communities it does business in and it is truly committed to creating a better future". He added that “Coca‑Cola has achieved a lot over the past 125 years, but these results merely present the beginning".

All these efforts, which are consolidated in the Vision 2020, were given form with the desire that Coca‑Cola continues to be recognised as a responsible partner in the community it does business in, dedicated to sustainable development and environmental protection.
